Japanese Script Writer Hiroshi Saito

1959, Born in Tokyo, Japan.

1982, Graduates from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo.
At first, Hiroshi Saito wished to lead the stabilized whole life which found a job at the city office. After failure of examination for civil service, he came to consider a change of policy, and to think that he would work by the motion-picture world.
However, he failed the examination for assistant directors of Nikkatsu Movie Studio, and an unemployment state continued.

He heard the talk that parents were going to send him to The Totsuka Sailboat School (Notes 1), so he silently borrowed the money from parents, and escaped from home. He found a part-time job of properties assistant of a movie studio, and wrote original scripts at night time.

1984, He won the prize for The Fine Work by the movie script competition of Directors Company. After the award, he worked as the script writer of video cinemas and TV dramas.

1991, He did first work of a movie script, the theater film is "The time for play is not over" (Japanese title is "Asobi No Jikan Wa Owaranai"). Then, Hiroshi Saito started work as a movie writer.
After the work, He did work mainly concerned with the scprits of movies, and related to works of many hits of movies in Japan.

(Notes 1) The Totsuka Sailboat School is a boarding school of sailboat school in Aichi Prefecture in Japan, guided students by the severe corporal punishment system.
The school was famous for regeneration of many boy girls, such as truancy and intrafamily violence. However, many students are injured with excessive corporal punishment etc., From 1979 to 1982, two students died of corporal punishment, two students went missing in the sea. It became the criminal case called the incident of Totsuka sailboat school.
The principal and the 15 persons concerned were arrested and convicted.
